Star Wars: Phasma

Review:
I expected to dislike this book considering the character means nothing to me. She was a blip in the movies and I didn’t understand why they made such a big deal about a character who’s screen time was less than optimal. However, after reading this book it gives so much to the character that she desperately needed. It’s unfair to say that they didn’t give her enough screen time. It is fair, to say that she deserved better.
I imagine that’s why this book was created in the first place. Without this book, this character has no meaning. I enjoyed the book so much, and I should have known better. There isn’t a Star Wars book I dislike out there, period. And I don’t think I ever will. This was a genuine ode to a character who went through hell to survive and never really learned how to live because of it.
Without spoiling too much, I’ll say I have much more respect for this character, and understanding. This book is a must-read for anyone looking to find a hardcore character that fights their way to victory no matter the cost.
