Week 2
Picked up Mail this week and had an overloaded weekend of planned events. Whew!
Main focus is to finish the Portrait Commissions which is steadily going!
We’re already voting and planning a new book to read, and it looks like I’ll soon be a voice for hire! Eventually I’ll put up another page specifically for that, but I’m not in a hurry. Art will always be first. It’s just a nice idea to add to the side since reading books honestly doesn’t take that long.
Week 3
Everything seems so calm as I’m trying to catch up on sleep. It’s still utterly busy, but at least the end of this month is coming with a solid plan for Quarter 3! It’s been interesting seeing what changes and what we can get through. It’s been a surprisingly decent year so far.
The weather was growing severely hot but then miraculously cooled down this week. We mountain folk be grateful!!!
There’s a lot of planning into being at the Lake this coming summer.

Additionally
I heard a new phrase I’m literally feeling so hard right now.
“Art is Easy. Life is Hard.”
Truer words have never been spoken. I wish I could draw and paint everyday. But my body and life gets in the way. I’ve noticed I become SUPER tired and cranky when I’m dealing with life things and not work things. Work/Art is sooooo easy. Everything else around me just gets me irritated and falling behind.
That being said there are always improvements to make. One big one coming soon, like how I literally have to vacuum EVERY SINGLE DAY. This dog is fucking disgusting and always shedding. So much for being “easily manageable” based on his breed. So fuck it. I’m getting a Robot Vacuum/Mop. I can pick up beds and things off the floor for the little sucker to help me out. Cause I’m not getting on my damn hands and knees to clean this bloody floor. Just having that small bit of household help is going to make me less cranky. Cause I’m a cranky old fart.
So if you’re thinking about getting something and you’re simply not doing it because of how expensive it might be, let me remind you guys here and now, that if it’s a life improvement in a major way, just do it. Get the damn thing. Because the less my back, shoulders, wrists, and knees hurt, the more things I can do outside of household choirs. Physically wasting what little energy I have, is a big no-no in my life. It makes me sick, more, and longer I’ve noticed. So when people ask me why it takes me so long to make Art, all I can say is… Art is easy, Life is hard.
So when I finish each art project, I feel SUPER fucking amazing.
To those who waited on their CAE Portraits…you are all Angels. Thank you for your patience and understanding while I tried to finish these ASAP, and two months late. You are highly appreciated.
Week 1
Roughest week of the month! But it’s over. I had to go to town and make a ton of stops to gather the things I needed and do all the errands. It wiped me out something good. But I’m prepping for summer and things need to be done!
I’m excited for some R&R because the Chaos is reigning supreme.
Might be that time to switch from Photoshop to Clip Studio Paint.
-wince-
I’m also gaming way too much in my opinion. A lot of people gonna be disappointed but I have things I need to get done. Including around the house.
It’s also going to be interesting seeing the Twitch schedule change to a summer alternative. My weekends are jam packed, and my weekdays are when I pick up the pieces and run errands.
(Future correction) I got Clip Studio Paint 4, AND Paint Tool Sai2. -scream-
Reasons: Aleriia_V uses Paint Tool Sai2, and I love seeing her paint and draw in that program. While CSP4 is amazing and acceptable to use, it’s not known for blending colors well which is a bummer. So I guess I’ll just be using a mix of these programs to achieve what little things I need from each program as projects come about. -cries- But that also means I’m learning more programs. The things I do for Art.

Week 4
We went to the Lake to scout out the area! It’s been a good few years since Dad had even been there. So there were sections where you had to buy a day pass, and we found an area that was really rigid and taking my Jeep was even sketchy.
The dirt roads are not maintained and honestly that’s fine. I’ll have my Jeep lifted and fitted with better tires in a few weeks, so we can go back after that!
George had a great time discovering a huge body of water for 10 Minutes. I’m super excited to go back and hang out all day. We found the BEST spot to grab if we go really early. And it’s hard to get to in any normal off road vehicle so even better. We’ll be out of the way, and nobody can get to our spot to bug us. Look forward to that video in a month or so. Lake Vlog!
