Week 1 & 2
There’s so much daylight!!! It only gets dark around 8 or 9pm PST. It’s crazy. Has anyone else noticed how the sun is moving in my monthly photos? It’s so cool and yet irritating at the same time.
Anyways! It’s been a spur of chaos once again. I had to call Dad back in an Emergency. The water was dirty and messing with our toilet, which caused a lot more problems. Needless to say those are fixed thank goodness, but boy what a MESS. I couldn’t shower for 4 days before I lost my mind and called Dad.
That being said we’ve fixed those problems and prepared the side of the house for bathhouse renovations later. Goodie for me! Someday.
Then I poured my little bit of savings into having Dad make me a custom bedframe that would give me more storage options. Extremely happy with how that came out! I’ve been planning for it for a while, and changed the design in my head for several months already. STILL ended up with a new design the day before he went to get all the materials. Ended up just perfect!
While Dad has time to be here he also decided to concrete the garage floor. So that was his own project. But he’s nearly done and it’s been insane seeing the garage cleaned up. Worth it though. He needed the space so he can work on his motorcycles. He wasn’t going to do it in the dirt with squirrel holes coming up inside. He’d likely drop a tool down the hole or a nut. Haven’t seen the garage clean in over 20 years, but boy did he clean it.
Outside of Mountain things I’ve been reworking my schedule and finding time for all the things I want to do. But my body is rejecting me so a lot of my off days are now spent laying in bed resting my back. I’ve done a lot of reworking things and updating things as I can. Website, Discord, etc. I think it all looks and acts very harmoniously which makes me feel better.
Week 3 & 4
Officially at the end of all the renovation / updates for the mountain. I can’t believe it’s been so much, but we’re both so glad it’s done. Dad is prepping to go back to work on the 22nd, and me back to focusing on my work! Yaye!
There’s still a big haul making it’s way here, and we’re still getting ready to send the Jeep in for it’s lift and updates as well.
It feels like all of the things have been a long time coming. I’m so grateful that I am at this point and we’re seeing new and improved bits of our daily lives.
August is right around the corner, and I hope it will be as expected. I’d like to add another streaming day, but it depends on how I’m feeling.
Truth be told, my A.S. does not like all the work we’ve done so far, and my spine is swollen and hurts to the touch at some spots. It’s the main reason I’ve had to even bother cancelling streams during week 3. If anything it’s my, once every few month reminder, that I’m only Human.
Got lucky and had some extra time to spend with my Mom these last few days of July and into August. She’s going back to the Classroom to work SOON and I’ll be helping out as the Art Instructor for her personally since her school does not have an appointed position for that. I’ll be helping out on Commission when needed and hope she has the best time going back to teaching Children and not other Teachers.
Other than that we spent some time at the Lake as I wanted, and I have a list of things to improve upon and not forget this time. I managed to bruise a bone and now I’m slow but steadily headed back to working full time myself. Why is it always that you get hurt at the VERY END of vacations? It must be a thing. Cause she has a fractured foot. We’re both a bit beat up and ready for work. LOL
